Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of PMM Tools, including the web app at www.pmmtools.com, the PMM Tools MCP server and API, and the PMM Tools — Page Capture Chrome extension (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, subscribing, or using the Service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you agree on its behalf and confirm you are authorized to do so.

The Service

PMM Tools captures the competitor web pages you choose and keeps them as source files: a clean markdown version and a screenshot of each page, organized by competitor and refreshed on the schedule your plan allows. You can read those files in the app and serve them to your own AI tools over MCP. Optional AI analysis features work from the same files. We may improve, change, or retire features over time; if we remove something material to a paid plan, we will tell you in advance.

Your account

You need an account to use the Service. Give us an email address you control, keep your sign-in credentials and any API keys or MCP tokens secure, and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access to your account. You are responsible for activity under your account, including requests made with your API keys. You must be at least 16 years old.

The Service is for business and professional use only. By creating an account or subscribing, you confirm that you are acting for purposes relating to your trade, business, craft, or profession, and not as a consumer.

Acceptable use of capture

PMM Tools captures pages at your direction. You decide which sites and URLs to capture, and you are responsible for making sure you have the right to capture, store, and use each page you add. In particular, you agree that you will not:

• capture a site whose terms, or whose owner, prohibit it, or use the Service to get around a paywall, a login you are not authorized to use, or any other access control;
• capture pages that are not publicly available to you, or pages containing other people's personal data beyond what incidentally appears on a public web page;
• use the Service to overload, attack, or disrupt any website, or to send traffic you would not be allowed to send yourself;
• republish captured content in a way that infringes the site owner's copyright or other rights;
• abuse the Service itself: probe or bypass its limits, security, or billing; share or resell access; create accounts to evade a suspension or to obtain repeated trials; or use it for anything unlawful.

We may refuse, pause, or remove captures, and suspend accounts, when we reasonably believe these rules are being broken or when a site owner raises a credible complaint.

Plans, limits, and credits

Each paid plan is a monthly subscription with the limits below. The pricing page shows the current plans in full; if the two ever differ, the price shown at checkout is the one you pay.

A standard snapshot uses 1 credit. Capturing a bot-protected page takes more work and uses more: 2 credits through a managed proxy and 10 through a residential browser. Credits reset at the start of each billing period and unused credits do not carry over. When you reach a limit, new captures pause until the limit resets or you move to a larger plan, and URLs beyond your tracked-URL pool are not added; files you have already captured stay available while your subscription is active. We also apply rate limits, and per-account limits on AI analysis and on paid capture attempts, to keep the Service reliable and its costs predictable.

Billing and automatic renewal

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance, in US dollars, through our payment provider, Stripe. By subscribing you authorize us to charge your payment method at the start of each billing period. Your subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel. If a payment fails we may retry it, and we may suspend paid features until it succeeds.

If you were invited with a trial, the Starter plan is free for the first 30 days. We ask for a payment method when the trial starts, and the first monthly charge happens when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. Each person gets one trial.

We may change our prices. A price change applies from your next billing period after we give you at least 30 days' notice, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

Cancellation

You can cancel any time: choose "Manage billing" on the pricing page to open the billing portal. Cancellation stops the next renewal: you keep access to your paid plan until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again. You can change plans from the same portal.

The Service is available only while you have an active subscription. Once a subscription ends, you can still sign in, manage billing, subscribe again, or delete your account, and we keep your data, but the app, your captured files and downloads, and MCP access are unavailable until you subscribe again.

Refunds

Because you can cancel before any renewal and keep access for the rest of the period, we do not give refunds or credits for partial months or for unused credits. If something went wrong — for example, you were charged after cancelling, or the Service was unavailable for a significant part of your billing period — contact us and we may issue a full or partial refund at our discretion.

Because the Service is for business use only, consumer withdrawal ("cooling-off") rights do not apply to it. If a statutory right to withdraw within 14 days nonetheless applies to you as a consumer resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom:

• by subscribing, you expressly ask us to start the Service immediately, within the withdrawal period, and you acknowledge that you lose the right to withdraw once the Service has been fully performed;
• if you withdraw within the 14 days, you owe a proportionate amount for what was provided before you told us: the share of your plan's monthly snapshot credits you used, or the share of the billing period that had elapsed, whichever is greater. We refund only the unused remainder.

Where you are resident is determined by the billing address you give at checkout, never by your IP address or location. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

Taxes

Prices do not include taxes. Where we are required to collect sales tax, VAT, GST, or a similar tax, it is added at checkout based on your billing address. If you give us a valid business tax ID, it appears on your invoices and may change how tax is applied. You are responsible for any other taxes that apply to your purchase.

Content and intellectual property

Your content. Captured pages remain the property of their owners, and anything you add (competitor lists, notes, configurations) remains yours. You give us permission to store, process, and display that content only as needed to run the Service for you. We do not share your captures with other customers.

Our Service. PMM Tools, its software, and its design belong to us. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under these terms while your account is in good standing. Please do not copy, reverse engineer, or resell it. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". Websites change, block automated access, and go offline, so we cannot promise that every capture succeeds, that captured content is complete or current, or that the Service is uninterrupted. AI-generated analysis can be wrong; check it before relying on it. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you in full.

Termination

You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is used for fraud or abuse, or whose payments are disputed or reversed; where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. When an account is closed, access to the Service ends and we delete your workspace data as described in our Privacy policy. Sections that by their nature should survive (content ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability) continue to apply.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. We will revise the date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, you can cancel.
